The Buy a Mile Teach a Child fundraising campaign is going to raise $10,000 for Invisible Children’s Organization Schools For Schools Program, which seeks that the children of Northern Uganda have a opportunity to receive a proper education and emerge as future leaders of their country. Your donation will be given to one of the 10 selected schools in Uganda and will be used to improve schools’ infrastructure, improve plumbing, build dormitories, and buy schools’ materials. Kristen and Mark are biking on the Trans America Route, which is 4,262 miles and covers 10 states. Look at the graph below to see which state your contributions can supported us through. $3 Sponsor For Every Mile We Bike The total amount of money Kristen and Mark are looking to raise when they complete biking across America is $12,786. They are going to donate $10,000 to Invisible Children's Schools For Schools Program and the additional $2,786 will be allocated into paying for expenses along the bike route. Why should portion of donations contribute to Kristen and Mark's personal expenses? Kristen and Mark are looking to make a difference in the world by helping to better children’s education opportunities in Northern Uganda. Since, both of them are graduating this May and accrued significant amounts of student loans, they need your financial assistance to accomplish their fundraising campaign. The $2,786 will only be used on necessities in order to accomplish their bike trip.
